Davis memorialized

LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq — Staff Sgt. Donald N. Davis was memorialized Aug. 28 in a ceremony held at the Sustainer Theater here.

Davis was killed in a rollover accident Aug. 24 while on a convoy near Fallujah. He is survived by his wife and six children.

During the service, members of his unit recalled Davis always talked about his wife and children and how proud he was of them.

Davis was a 20-year veteran of the Army and had served in both Korea and Germany during his career, which began in 1980. Members of his company called him a friend, Soldier and teacher who was always ready to complete any mission.

His unit, the 660th Transportation Company, held the ceremony. More than 150 service members from LSA Anaconda were present to pay their last respects to a valued member of their unit.
