Freeman DFAC Re-opens

A grand re-opening ceremony was held at the Freeman dining facility Wednesday 10:30 a.m.

The Soldiers and civilians involved in the process of re-opening the DFAC were honored in the ceremony.

Col. Thomas J. Richardson, commanding officer of 65th Corps Support Group, reiterated a statement that has echoed through the centuries," An Army moves on its stomach."

"Our young cooks are the true heroes who keep us going," said Richardson.

After remarks, Richardson was given scissors for the ribbon-cutting ceremony. He deferred the honor to Spc. Kathleen A. Winn.

"It's only appropriate that the junior soldier present cut the ribbon
