COSCOM Soldiers Open New Water Facility


LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq — Soldiers from the 13th COSCOM Special Troops Battalion joined local leaders in opening a new water filtration system in Sheik Jamil Village near here Dec. 6.

The new system will provide fresh clean water for about 500 villagers.

The $80K project was funded by the Army and completed by local labor under the supervision of the Ad Dujail City Council.

Since their arrival in January, the 13th COSCOM has sponsored more than $4.3 million in infrastructure improvements including 85 projects spread among 28 local villages.
