74th Engineer Company change of command ceremony

Soldiers of the 74th Engineer Company held a change of command ceremony 9:30 A.M. Wednesday at Guidon Field.

Capt. Christina Cook assumed command, replacing Capt. Sandra Reyna as commanding officer of the 74th.

Cook, a San Diego native, graduated from Norfolk State University in 1999. She entered military service as a second lieutenant in the Corps of Engineers.

In addition to the Engineer Officer Basic Course, Cook has completed the Engineer Captain's Career Courses, Combined Arms Service and Staff School, and Airborne training.

Her awards include the Army Commendation Medal(3rd Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement medal(2nd Oak Leaf Cluster), and the Overseas Service Ribbon.

Cook has served tours in Germany, Kosovo and Fort Hood.
