The 13th Corp Support Command Association honored 15 corporate sponsors at a special recognition social January 8 at the Mayborn Campus Center at the University of Mary Hardin Baylor.

The 13th CCA encompasses all units, past, present, and future, associated with the 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary).

The leadership of the 13th SC(E) and the 13th CCA recognized corporate sponsors for their support of the association over the past year.

“Thanks to the support of our sponsors we’ve been able to accomplish a lot this year,” said Kent Marquardt, president, 13th CCA. “We’ve increased our membership, raised money, and made many more people aware of our organization.”

The primary objective of the 13th CCA is to support the Soldiers of the 13th SC(E) and its subordinate units.

“We provide support for the Soldiers, here at home and during their deployments, because they support us and our organization,” said Marquardt, “More importantly we support their families while they’re deployed so the families have someone they can rely on while their loved one is away.”

Many of the sponsors are businesses based in the Fort Hood area.

Marquardt said, “These are all local business that sponsor the Soldiers and units of Fort Hood, so it’s very important for us to show that we, in turn, support and appreciate them.”

The 13th CCA is open to all Soldiers who have ever been assigned to the 13th Sustainment Command and its predecessors. A two year membership is only $20 at the association website, 13cca.org.
