Balad, Iraq — Fifty Iraqi children were treated to popcorn, candy and a movie by the U.S. Army 13th Corps Support Command and the Army and Air Force Exchange Service at the Sustainer Indoor Theater on Logistics Support Area Anaconda here today.

The children from the nearby village of Bakar saw the Walt Disney Pictures - PIXAR Animation Studios Academy Award winning hit "Finding Nemo".

These children are the future of Iraq, they need to know that its OK to have fun, said an one of their teachers.

After the movie each child was given a bag full of new school supplies as they filed out to the busses for the short ride home.

Events like this one are part of a continuing effort by the 13th COSCOM Civil Affairs Office to promote a free, safe and secure environment for the people in the Balad area.

13th COSCOM and AAFES have already agreed to try and host another group of children in the future.
