Anaconda Marines Take a Break for Corps Tradition

13th COSCOM PAO

LSA ANACONDA, BALAD, Iraq — More than 80 Marines gathered at the Sustainer Theater here Wednesday to spend an hour watching a special showing of one of the Corps most traditional and well-known public events.

Anaconda-based Marines assigned to the 6th Engineer Support Battalion, the Army's 172nd Corps Support Group and 13th COSCOM Corps Distribution Center were joined by a few comrades from other services to enjoy the Sunset Parade recorded at the historic Marine Barracks at 8th & I St. in Washington, D.C.

The Sunset Parade is a full-dress public ceremony performed during the summer months by the United States Marine Drum and Bugle Corps and Marine Corps Silent Drill Platoon.

The parade was well received by the audience, many of whom face combat daily.
