A Co 21st CSH Change of Command

Cpt. Andrea L. Flores assumed command of A Company, 21st Combat Support Hospital, replacing Cpt. Marvin A. Emerson as commanding officer, in a change of command ceremony held 10 A.M. Wednesday at Guidon field.
Flores, a Southern California native, served as the Information Management Officer for the 21st CSH from July 2004 to February 2004. She also served as health care recruiter for the 6th Army Medical Department in September 2001 to June 2004. In Dec. 1997, she was assigned to DeWitt Army Community Hospital at Fort Belvoir, Va., where she served as the Deputy Chief of Resource Management, a Data Quality Manager, and the Deputy Chief of Information Management Division.
Flores graduated from the United States Military Academy, West Point in 1996 with the Medical Service Corps. She earned a Masters of Science in information technology and a Bachelor of Science degree in Spanish and Portuguese from the University of Maryland University College. Flores has completed the AMEDD officer's basic and AMEDD advance courses.
Her awards and decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Commendation Medal with one oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal, National Defense Service Medal with bronze star, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Armed Services Medal, Parachutist Badge, and the Health Care Recruiting Badge.
