12 teams squared off in the monthly 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) Charity Golf tournament at the Courses at Clear Creek here Monday.
As in any competition, only one team walked away victorious. With a ridiculous score of 56 strokes, the team of; Joseph Putman, Brian Kunz, Robert Beckham, and Juan Puentes, representing the 297th Transportation Company, 180th Transportation Battalion, 64th Corps Support Group, 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary), bested the closest two teams by 2 strokes.
Jason Oradat, playing for the 96th Transportation Company, 180th TC, 64th CSG, 13th SC(E), won the longest drive competition.
"I haven't got the slightest idea of how far it went," said Oradat of his winning drive on Panther Claw hole seven.
Though there was only one winner, it can hardly be said that spending your Monday playing golf could result in any loss.
"I think it's good for morale, and a good way to raise money for the units," said Jonathan Brown, playing for the 602nd Maintenance Company, 2nd Chemical Battalion, 64th CSG, 13th SC(E) team.
This month's tournament was sponsored by the 2nd Chemical Battalion.
