"Spur of the Moment" plays a wide range of musical styles including Pop,
R & B, Soul, Latin, and Soft Rock. Embedded within the Show Band is a Jazz
Combo suited for smaller venues and capable of performing Modern Jazz,
Be-Bop, Jazz Standards, and Latin Jazz. With bass guitar, keyboard, drums,
and horns, offering both acoustic and amplified options, we can tailor our
performance to any occasion.
"Warriors Call" is a high energy, amplified group geared to entertain our
Soldiers and community members with a broad range of music encompassing the most
popular tunes of the past and present in Rock, Funk, Pop, and Country. With
keyboard, guitars, drums, and vocals, we can reach any audience with an exciting
mix of Top 40 and Classic Hits. You are sure to hear one or more of your
favorite selections when you attend one of our performances. Potential
performance venues range from large outdoor venues, such as pavilion areas and
parks to smaller venues, such as indoor amphitheaters, theaters, and high school
auditoriums. "Warriors Call" is a great choice for entertainment at Soldier
support events, festivals, and community celebrations.
"Crossfire" Brass Band provides musical entertainment in the New Orleans
brass band tradition. Whether itâ€™s Dixieland, New Orleans street music, or
funk-based Brass Band favorites, we bring The Big Easy wherever we go. Our
instrumentation includes drums, sousaphone, trumpets, trombones, and saxophones.
Able to perform without amplification, we are highly mobile and can fit into
nearly any space. With fun, up-tempo music, we add excitement and energy to any
The 1st Cavalry Division Band Brass Quintetsâ€”"Phantom Brass," "Black Jack
Brass," and "Maverick Brass"â€”provide music for a multitude of events with a vast
repertoire that encompasses a variety of genres from The Beatles to Bach.
Consisting of five brass players, each quintet can be augmented by various
percussion instruments to tailor music for a specific event, audience, or venue.
Our brass quintets are a great choice for static ceremonial events and student
outreach events. The 1st Cavalry Division Bandâ€™s "Brass Quintets" are highly
mobile and extremely versatile.
With repertoire that ranges from
Classical Masterworks by Haydn and
Mozart to arrangements of your favorite
modern hits, the "Cavalry Lite" Woodwind
Quintet is able to perform in a diverse
array of settings. Our instrumentation
consists of flute, oboe, clarinet,
bassoon, and French horn, so our space
and logistical needs are minimal. From
educational/student outreach concerts to
formal static ceremonial events, the
"Cavalry Lite" Woodwind Quintet can
fulfill your musical needs and bring a
touch of class to any event!
The marching component of the band has a long history in military music,
performing for outdoor ceremonial functions such as change of command
ceremonies, military retirement ceremonies, and military school graduations. The
band also often marches is municipal and state sponsored parades, providing an
excitement and a patriotic flair that only a military band can display.
The ceremonial band is a smaller component of the marching band and is best
suited for sit-down military ceremonies, flag-pole ceremonies, and other
military or civilian events not requiring a full marching band. The "ceremonial
band" typically provides traditional martial and patriotic music.
All of the Soldiers assigned to the unit perform in the "concert band", making
it the band's largest performing group. The concert band performs throughout the
Fort Hood/Central Texas area, building relations between Fort Hood and the
communities. The concert band performs traditional wind band literature as well
as modern symphonic band music, popular arrangements, marches, and features for
soloists or vocalists.

Wide Area Security to execute missions to Prevent, Shape, Win as directed.
