Command Sergeant Major Worrell

Command Sergeant Major Deandro J. Worrell is a native of Suffolk, Virginia. He entered the Army in March 1993 where he attended and completed One Station Unit Training (OSUT) for the MOS 11B at Fort Benning, GA. He is a graduate of Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant School, Anti-Armor Leader Course, Pre-Command Course and all levels of NCOES to include the United States Army Sergeants Majors Course.

Command Sergeant Major Worrell has served in various positions as an Infantryman. His duty stations include: 1-14 INF at Schofield Barracks HI, 2-14 INF at Fort Drum NY, both 2-47 BCTB and 1-19 INF at Fort Benning GA, both 2-30 INF and 4-353 Regiment at Fort Polk LA, both 1-36 INF and 1-35 Armor at Fort Bliss TX. CSM Worrell’s overseas assignments include one tour in Hawaii with deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF).

His awards and decorations include: Combat Infantryman's Badge, Expert Infantryman's Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (w/ 4 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (w/ 4 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (w/ Silver OLC), Good Conduct Medal (8th award), National Defense Service Ribbon, Iraq Campaign Medal (w/ 2 campaign stars), Afghanistan Campaign Medal (w/ 2 campaign stars), NATO medal (w/ 1 campaign star), NCO Professional Development Ribbon (Numeral 5) and the Overseas Service Ribbon (Numeral 2).

CSM Worrell is a recipient of the Infantry Association Honorable Order of Saint Maurice and also the Armor Association Honorable Order of Saint George. CSM Worrell has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Administration of Justice and Security.
