Lieutenant Colonel Davis

LTC Jason W. Davis graduated from the University of California, San Diego with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Biochemistry and Cellular Biology. LTC Davis was commissioned as an Infantry Second Lieutenant through the San Diego State University ROTC Program and reported to Fort Benning, GA in 1997.

Following the standard courses for an Infantry 2LT, LTC Davis reported to 1st Battalion, 5th Cavalry Regiment (MECH). LTC Davis served as a Rifle Platoon Leader, Scout Platoon Leader, HHC Executive Officer, and Assistant S-3 from 1998 to 2001. Upon completion of the Infantry CCC and LRSLC, LTC Davis reported to 1st Battalion, 506th Infantry Regiment (AASLT). LTC Davis served as the S-4, HHC Company Commander, and Alpha Company Commander from 2002 to 2005. LTC Davis deployed from Korea to Iraq in 2004 as the Alpha Company Commander in support of OIF. Upon redeployment from Iraq, LTC Davis reported to the 196th Infantry Brigade where he served as the Brigade Assistant S-3 and Brigade S3 from 2005 to 2008.

Following graduation from CGSC in 2009, LTC Davis reported to the 101st Airborne Division (AASLT). LTC Davis served as an Operations Officer, G3 Current Operations, Battalion Executive Officer, 2nd Brigade Special Troops Battalion (AASLT), and Battalion Executive Officer, 2nd Battalion, 502nd Infantry Regiment (AASLT) from 2009-2011. Upon redeployment from Afghanistan, LTC Davis reported to the United States Pacific Command where he served as the Headquarters Commandant and Secretary, Joint Staff from 2011 to 2015.

LTC Davis’ awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (1OLC), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (2 OLC), Army Commendation Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (3 OLC), the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Ranger Tab, the Basic Parachutist Badge, the Air Assault Badge, the Pathfinder Badge, and other standard awards and decorations commensurate of an Infantry Officer.
