Alpha Command Team
Captain Andrew J. Moncrief was born and primarily raised in the
State of Mississippi. He was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant
from The United States Military Academy after earning a Bachelor
of Science degree in Literature.
Captain Moncrief’s previous assignments include: BN S1, 4-5 ADA;
Battle Captain, 11th ADA BDE; Brigade Adjutant 11th ADA BDE;
Executive Officer, HHB 11th ADA BDE and B/5-52 ADA; and Platoon
Leader, B/5-52 ADA. He has deployed three times in support of
Operation Enduring Freedom in August 2012 to Kuwait, June 2009
to Bahrain, and March 2008 to the United Arab Emirates.
Captain Moncrief’s military education includes: the Air Defense
Artillery Officer Career Course, the Air Defense Artillery
Officer Basic Course, The Basic Officer Leader Course II, and
the Air Assault Course.
Captain Moncrief’s decorations include the Army Commendation
medal with (1 Oak Leaf Cluster), The Army Achievement Medal, and
the Air Assault Badge.
First Sergeant Armstrong was born on 16 December 1968 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He enlisted in the United States Army on 10 October 1999, attended Basic Training at Fort Bliss, Texas, and attended Advanced Individual Training at Fort Sill, Oklahoma.
First Sergeant Armstrong’s duty positions and assignments include: Avenger Team Chief D Btry 1-44 Fort Hood, Texas. Avenger Section Sergeant, E Btry 1-44 Fort Hood TX. Btry Operations SGT, E Btry 1-44 AMD Fort Bliss, TX. Brigade S-2 SGM 11th BDE Fort Bliss, TX. Helipad Operation NCOIC, 1CD Fort Hood, TX. USD-C MITT First Sergeant, Camp Liberty, Iraq. Advanced Individual Training Platoon Sergeant, Fort Sill, OK. BDE S-3 NCOIC FWD, Ft Hood, Texas; and is currently serving as the Alpha 4-5 ADA First Sergeant.
First Sergeant Armstrong’s Military and civilian education includes Primary Leadership Development Course(PLDC), Basic Noncommissioned Officer Course(BNCOC), Advanced Noncommissioned Officer Course(ANCOC), Sexual Assault Response Coordinator Course, Advanced Individual Training Course, SHARP Course and MRT Course. He is currently completing his Associate Degree with American Military University.
