Bravo Command Team

CPT Gould

Captain John F. Gould entered the US Army in 2007 upon commissioning into the Air Defense Artillery (ADA) Corps from the United States Military Academy with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Nuclear Engineering.

After completing initial and elective officer training, CPT Gould was assigned to Alpha Battery of 1st Battalion, 1st Air Defense Artillery Regiment (Patriot) in Okinawa, Japan as Alpha Battery’s Launcher, and then Fire Control Platoon Leaders. In June of 2010, CPT Gould was appointed as a Battalion Tactical Director and the Fire Distribution Section (FDS) Officer-In-Charge (OIC). CPT Gould’s previous assignment was serving as one of 69th ADA Brigade’s Air Defense Artillery Fire Control Officers for the Brigade Headquarters’ Southwest Asian deployment in 2013. CPT Gould took the Bravo Battery Guidon on 25 January 2014.

CPT Gould is a graduate of the ADA Captain’s Career Course, US Army’s Basic Officer Leadership (BOLC) program, ADAFCO, and Patriot Top Gun, Joint Firepower, Joint Air Operation Command and Control, Joint Theater Air and Missile Defense, and Multi-Service Advanced Tactical Data Link (MAJIC) courses.

CPT Gould’s decorations include the National Defense Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal with oak leaf cluster, the Army Achievement Medal, Global War on Terror (GWOT) Expeditionary and Service Medals, the Overseas Service Medal with number two numeral devices, the Parachutist, Pathfinder, and Air Assault badges.



1SG Prescott

1SG Lester Harris Prescott was born 2 April 1975 in Urbana, Illinois. He entered the Army in January 1995 after earning his High School Diploma at Saint Ansgar High School. Upon joining the Army He attended Basic Training at Fort Leonard Wood, MO and completed Advanced Individual Training at Fort Jackson, SC earning his Military Occupational Specialty (MOS) as a 63S - Heavy Wheeled Vehicle Mechanic. In 1997 he completed MOS training at Fort Bliss, TX for MOS 14T - Patriot Launching Station Enhanced Operator/Maintainer. 1SG Prescott has served as a System Maintenance Team Chief, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Recruiter, CMF 14 Professional Development NCO/Career Advisor, Security Force Assistance Deputy Team Chief and First Sergeant.

Overseas assignments include 6th Battalion, 52nd ADA, Ansbach, Germany; 1st Battalion, 43rd ADA, Suwon, Korea; Operation Northern Watch, Turkey 1999; Operation Enduring Freedom, Qatar 2006, Kuwait 2007-2008, and Afghanistan 2012. System Maintenance Team Chief and Section Sergeant with 2-43 ADA Fort Bliss TX; U.S. Army Recruiter with Vancouver Recruiting Company, Portland Recruiting Battalion; Section Sergeant and Platoon Sergeant with A Battery, 3rd Battalion, 43rd ADA; CMF 14 PDNCO/Career Advisor, Human Resources Command, Alexandria, VA and Fort Knox, KY; SFAT Deputy Team Chief, 1st BCT, 82nd ABN DIV, Fort Bragg NC; First Sergeant, B Battery, 2nd ADA(THAAD), Fort Hood, TX; Headquarters Platoon Sergeant, HHB, 4th Battalion, 5th ADA, Fort Hood, TX. 1SG Prescott is currently Assigned as the B Battery, 4-5 ADA First Sergeant.

1SG Prescott’s military education includes; the Primary Leadership Development Course, Basic Non-Commissioned Officers course, Advanced Non-Commissioned Officers Course, NBC NCO and Officer Course, Basic Recruiters course, Combat Lifesaver’s course, Military Assistance and Security Advisor Course, The Army Space Cadre Basic course, the Air Assault Course and the Army Basic Airborne Course. He is currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resource Management with University of Maryland University College.

His awards include; the Bronze Star Medal, the Meritorious Service Medal, the Army Commendation Medal (2 OLC), the Army Achievement Medal (7 OLC), National Defense Service Medal (1 BS), the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Army Good Conduct Medal (6th Award), the Combat Action Badge, The Air Assault Badge, and the Basic Parachutist Badge. He is also a recipient of the Honorable Order of Saint Barbara.
