1LT_HATCHER 1LT Jon W. Hatcher

1LT Jon W. Hatcher was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in the Quartermaster Corps through Officer Candidate School at Fort Benning, GA, in January of 2009. He was promoted to First Lieutenant in July of 2010. He is a native of San Antonio, Texas.


He is a graduate of The University of Texas at San Antonio with a Bachelor of Science degree in Kinesiology.


1LT Hatcher is a graduate of the Mortuary Affairs Officer Course, Quartermaster Officer Basic Course, Basic Officer Leadership Course II, and Officer Candidate School.


His past assignments include: Platoon Leader 289th Quartermaster Company, 553rd Combat Sustainment Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Hood, TX. Platoon Leader 289th Quartermaster Company, 13th Combat Sustainment Support Battalion, 3rd Sustainment Brigade, Joint Base Balad, Iraq in support of Operation New Dawn, Executive Officer 289th Quartermaster Company, 180th Transportation Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade, Fort Hood, TX. His most recent assignment is as the Commander of HHD, 180TH Transportation Battalion, 4TH Sustainment Brigade, Fort Hood, TX.


1LT Hatcher’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star, National Defense Service Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal (1OLC), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, and Overseas Service Ribbon.
