CSM DAVID JARVIS

Command Sergeant Major David. C. Jarvis was born in Anniston, Ala. and was raised in England. He began his military career in 1981.

 

His military education includes Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leadership Course, Senior Leadership Course, First Sergeants Course, and the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy. He has an Associate’s Degree in Leadership and is close to completing his B.S.B.A.

 

Command Sergeant Major Jarvis attended Basic Training and Advanced Individual Training at Fort Dix, N.J. His assignments include Headquarters and Headquarters Company, Fort McPherson, Ga., 1982-1983; Headquarters and Headquarters Battery, Fort Sill, Okla., 1983-1984; Headquarters and Headquarters Company 1st Cavalry Division, Fort Hood, TX, 1984-1985; Squad Leader, 598th Transportation Company, Mannheim, Germany, 1985-1988; U.S. Mission to NATO, NATO Headquarters, Brussels, Belgium 1988-1992; Support Platoon Sergeant, HHC, 3-67 AR 1st Cavalry Division and 2nd Armor Division, Fort Hood, Texas, 1992-1995; U.S. Mission to NATO, NATO Headquarters, 1995-1997; HHC, 21st Theater Support Command, Kaiserslautern, Germany, 1997-1998; First Sergeant, HHC, 1st Transportation Movement Control Agency, Kaiserslautern, 1998-2000; HHC, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum, N.Y., 2000-2001; U.S. Mission to NATO, NATO Headquarters, 2001-2003; HHC, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Ga. and Iraq, 2003-2004; HHC, 2nd Infantry Division, Camp Red Cloud, Korea, 2004-2005; Command Sergeant Major 599th Transportation Brigade, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii, 2005-2009 Command Sergeant Major 595th Transportation Brigade, Arifjan, Kuwait 2009 -2010, and 180th Transportation Battalion present.

 

Command Sergeant Major Jarvis’ awards and decorations are the Legion of Merit, Bronze Star Medal (First Oak Leaf Cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal (Second Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Service Medal (Third Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Commendation Medal (Fourth Oak Leaf Cluster), Army Achievement Medal (Fifth Oak Leaf Cluster), National Defense Service Medal, Global War On Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War On Terrorism Service Medal, Presidential Unit Citation Award, Joint Meritorious Unit Award (Second Oak Leaf Cluster), Meritorious Unit Commendation, and Office of the Secretary of Defense Identification Badge.
