LTC Myron L. Bell
LTC Myron L. Bell was born in Wichita, Kansas where he enlisted in the Active Army in September 1987.
He received a Regular Army commission as a Second Lieutenant in the Transportation Corps through the Reserve Officers’ Training Corps at
Hampton University in Hampton, Virginia upon completing a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management in May 1996. He also completed
a Master’s of Science degree in Adult, Occupational and Continuing Education from Kansas State University in June 2009.
LTC Bell’s previous duty assignments include service with the 245th Support Battalion, Fort Clayton, Panama as Battalion S2; Forward
Logistics Element Officer in Charge of Joint Task Force-Intibuca, Republic of Honduras; 1097th Transportation Company (Composite Watercraft),
Rodman Naval Station, Panama as Heavy Boat Platoon Leader and Executive Officer; Delta Company, 1st Battalion 28th Infantry Regiment (Basic Combat
Training), Fort Jackson, South Carolina as Executive Officer; 49th Transportation Battalion (Movement Control), Fort Hood, Texas as Battalion S4;
Bravo Company, 704th Division Support Battalion, Fort Hood, Texas and Operation Iraqi Freedom as Company Commander; US Airways, Crystal City,
Virginia as Training With Industry Officer; 599th Transportation Group, Wheeler Army Airfield, Hawaii and Port of Ash Shuaiba, Kuwait as
Detachment Commander and Chief of Operations; 53rd Transportation Battalion (Movement Control), Fort Eustis, Virginia and Operation New
Dawn as Battalion S3 and Executive Officer; and the Department of the Army Inspector General Agency, Army Pentagon as a Detailed Inspector
His military education includes the Transportation Officer Basic Course and the Combined Logistics Captains Career Course; Combined Arms and
Services Staff School; Command and General Staff College Intermediate Level Education; and the Department of the Army Inspector General School.
LTC Bell’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star Medal (3rd Award), Meritorious Service Medal (3rd Award), Army Commendation Medal
(6th award), Army Achievement Medal (2nd Award), Valorous Unit Award; Meritorious Unit Commendation; Army Staff Identification Badge,
Parachutist Badge, and Air Assault Badge.
LTC Bell is married with four children.
