4th Special Troops Battalion

"WOLFPACK"

HISTORY

The 4th Special Troops Battalion 'Wolfpack' was established on 16 December 2004. The Battalion was initially organized with a Headquarters and Headquarters Company, a Signal Company, a Medical Company and the Division Truck Company. In March 2005 the Battalion reorganized by deactivating the Medical Company and the Division Truck Company. The 4th Special Troops Battalion was assigned the 15th Financial Management Company and the 502nd Human Resources Company.

The 'Wolfpack' has deployed to Iraq 3 times, in 2005, 2008, and 2011. In 2005 the 4th Special Troops Battalion deployed to Taji, Iraq just north of Baghdad and supported the 4th Infantry Division. In 2008 the 4th Special Troops Battalion deployed to Ali Al Salem, Kuwait and provided convoy support operations throughout Iraq. In 2011 the 4th Special Troops Battalion deployed to Camp Adder, Iraq south of Baghdad and again provided convoy support operations throughout Iraq.

Since the Special Troops Battalion's inception in 2004, it has participated in three Combat Tours. Credit for the success of the 4th Sustainment Special Troops Battalion belongs to the Soldiers who faced the challenge of building, training and deploying a Battalion in a very short time. Each Soldier of the 4th Sustainment Special Troops Battalion is not only a proven combat veteran, but leaders in their fields. One Pack! One Fight!

Commander

"Our goal is to become fully capable to execute worldwide any task that we are given at full-speed. It remains a great honor for me to serve with you. Let’s keep going strong, Wolfpack!"

LTC Keith Kruelski

SERGEANT MAJOR

"Keep up a culture where your best hard work is expected and where the difficult but right path is always preferred over the easy wrong. Stay focused and stay motivated."
