COMMANDER

LTC Keith Kruelski

Lieutenant Colonel Keith Kruelski, born in Portland, OR, and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant in 1996. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Business and Economics from Virginia Military Institute in Lexington, VA. LTC Kruelski received a Master's of Business Administration and an Executive Master's or Public Administration from Syracuse University in Syracuse, NY in 2008. His military education includes: Airborne Course, Field Artillery Officer Basic Course (OBC), Field Artillery Officer Advanced Course (OAC), Combined Arms and Services Staff School, Army Comptrollership Course, Intermediate Level Education (ILE), Fiscal Law, Executive Comptrollership Course, and Survival, Evasion, Resistance and Escape (SERE) (High Risk).



LTC Kruelski's first assignment was with 1-15th FA in Korea as a 2-72nd AR Company Fire Support Officer then as a Platoon Leader in C/1-15th FA (1997-1998). He was then assigned to 1-10th FA at Ft. Benning, GA as the Assistant Operations Officer then as the Executive Officer for SVC/1-10th FA (1998-2000). After completing FA OAC he was assigned to 6-37th FA in Korea as the Operations Officer before taking command of A/6-37th FA (2000-2003). His next assignment was with the CJ3 in 8th Army as an Operation Officer working on Effects Based Operations for Combined Forces Command (2003-2005). After leaving Korea he was assigned to 4th BDE, 1st Army East at Ft. Knox, KY where he served as an AC/RC Team Chief with 1-410th FA and then as the Assistant BDE S4 (2005-2007). After earning his MBA and EMPA he was assigned to 3-160th AV (SOAR) at Hunter Army Airfield, GA as the Comptroller (2008-2011). He was then accepted into the Training With Industry (TWI) program where he worked for Global Exchange Services (GXS) in Gaithersburg, MD (2012). He was assigned to the 175th FMSC in Korea as the Deputy Director. He is currently assigned as the Commander of the 4th Special Troops Battalion, 4th Sustainment Brigade.



LTC Kruelski's awards and Decorations include: Meritorious Service Medal (3 OLC), Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Joint Service Achievement Medal (1 OLC), Army Achievement Medal (2 OLC), the National Defense Service Medal, the Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Korean Defense Service Medal, the Army Service Ribbon, the Overseas Service Ribbon (4) and the parachutist badge. LTC Kruelski is married and they have three daughters.
