CSM Alex E. Stewart
CSM Alex E. Stewart enlisted in the U.S. Army on 27 October, 1991, as an 11B, Infantryman. He attended One Station Unit Training and Basic Airborne School at Fort Benning, Georgia. In January 2001, he reclassified as a 97B (35L) Counter Intelligence Agent.
CSM Stewart has previously been assigned to: 5/87 Infantry (In) Battalion (Bn), Republic of Panama, 1/32 In Bn, 10th Mountain Division, Fort Drum New York, 2/46 and 5/46 In Bn, Fort Knox, Kentucky, 313 Military Intelligence (MI) Bn, 82d Airborne Division, Fort Bragg, North Carolina, 519 MI Bn, 525 MI Brigade, Fort Bragg, N.C., the Joint Readiness Training Center, Operations Group, Fort Polk, Louisiana, 163d MI Bn, 504th Battlefield Surveillance Brigade, and the 650th MI Group , Supreme Headquarters Allied Powers Europe, Belgium. He has deployed to Honduras, Kosovo and in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and Iraqi Freedom.
CSM Stewart has completed all levels of the Noncommissioned Officers Education Systems including the United States Army Sergeants Major Academy, Class 60. He is also a graduate of Basic Airborne School, Air Assault School, Drill Sergeant School and the First Sergeants Course.
CSM Stewart has received the Bronze Star Medal for his duties in Iraq as a First Sergeant, the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, several Meritorious Service Medals, the Expert Infantryman’s Badge, the Basic Parachutist’s Badge and the Air Assault Badge among several other awards.
CSM Stewart earned his Bachelor’s Degree from Troy University and his Master’s Degree from the University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio, Texas.
