Cpt Robert S. Kennedy

Captain Robert S. Kennedy is a native of Mt. Cobb Pennsylvania.  He is a 2007 graduate of James Madison University where he earned a B.A. in Philosophy, and commissioned as an Armor Officer.

 Career Summary

Following Armor Officer Basic Course, CPT Kennedy was assigned to 4th Squadron, 9th Cavalry Regiment, 1st Cavalry Division at Fort Hood, Texas, where he served as a Scout Platoon Leader, Troop Executive Officer, and Squadron Assistant S-3.  CPT Kennedy was assigned to the 504th BFSB in November, 2011 and served as the Brigade Assistant Operations Officer.

CPT Kennedy’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom in Kirkuk, Iraq in 2010, and Operation Enduring Freedom in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan in 2012.

Captain Kennedy, his wife Sara, and son R.J. currently reside in Harker Heights, TX.


1SG Lanny J. McLaughlin JR

1SG Lanny J McLaughlin JR is originally from Nogales, Arizona. He joined the Active Army April 9 1997.and completed Cavalry OSUT Ft. Knox, Kentucky prior to his first assignment.

Career Summary:

First Sergeant McLaughlin has served in numerous positions. A driver while assigned to Fort Campbell, Kentucky; Squad leader assigned to 2-34 AR (Scout PLT) FT. Riley Kansas; Section Sergeant  with 2-72 AR (Scout PLT) Camp Casey, Korea; Bradley Section Leader with CTRP 1/3 ACR Ft. Carson CO., Drill Sergeant and Senior Drill Sergeant CTRP 5/15 CAV Ft. Knox ,KY; Sniper Platoon Sergeant with 1-68 CAB 3BCT 4ID Ft. Carson CO; Scout Platoon Sergeant with3BCT 4ID Ft. Carson CO;OCT Team NCOIC 1-310th Ft. McCoy WI: and Senior Training Mentor with 3-340th in181 INF Brigade

1SG McLaughlin is a graduate of the Warrior Leader Course, Advanced Leader Course, Senior Leader Course, US Army Drill Sergeant School, Air Assault School, Combatives Levels 1-3, and the US Army Sniper School.

1SG McLaughlin’s awards and decorations include the Bronze Star with 2 OLC, Meritorious Service medal, the Army Commendation Medal with 1silver and 1 bronze OLC, the Army Achievement Medal with 1 bronze OLC, the National Defense Service Medal with  bronze star, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary and Service Medals, the  Iraq Campaign medal with 2nd bronze star, Army good Conduct Medal 4th award, Overseas Service Ribbon 4th award, the Korean defense service medal, NCO professional development ribbon with numeral 3, and the Army service ribbon. He also holds the Combat Action Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge, and the Air Assault Badge.
