CPT Patrick R. Rice

CPT Patrick Rice is a native of Wood Dale, Illinois. He is a 2004 graduate of the University of Illinois at Chicago where he earned a BS in Finance and commissioned as an Armor Officer.

Career Summary:

CPT Rice served as an enlisted Soldier and NCO from 1994 to 2001 with service at Fort Hood, TX, and Vicenza, Italy. After completing ROTC and the Armor Officer Basic Course, CPT Rice was assigned to 1st Squadron, 10th Cavalry, 4th Infantry Division, where he served as a Scout Platoon Leader. He was then assigned to the 1st Battalion, 66th Armor, 4th Infantry Division, where served as Tank Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer, and Battalion Logistics Officer. CPT Rice then attended Baylor University where he earned his MBA with a concentration in Finance. CPT Rice was assigned to the 504th BFSB in September 2011 and served as the Brigade Assistant Operations Officer.

CPT Rice’s deployments include Operation Iraqi Freedom in Hilla and Baghdad, Iraq, from 2005-2006; Operation Iraqi Freedom in Baghdad, Iraq, from 2008-2009; and Operation Enduring Freedom in Spin Boldak, Afghanistan from 2011-2012.

First Sergeant Ruiz entered the United States Army on 11 Aug 1997 at McAllen, Texas. He Completed Infantry One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, Georgia.
