303rd MI BN Sergeant Major
SGM Pete Carrion
Command Sergeant Major Pete Carrion III enlisted in the U.S. Army on 02 March 1988. He attended Basic Training at Ft. Dix, New Jersey and Advanced Individual Training at the Military Intelligence Center at Ft. Huachuca, AZ.
CSM Carrion’s initial assignment was with the 3rd Armored Division, Frankfurt, Germany. His subsequent assignments include 902nd Military Intelligence Group, Ft. Meade, MD: 527th MI Bn, Augsburg, GE; 10th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Carson, CO; 35th Signal Brigade, Ft. Bragg, NC; 111th MI Bde, Ft Huachuca, AZ; 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne), Ft. Campbell, KY; G2 SGM, 94th Army Air Missile and Defense Command, Ft. Shafter, HI, G2 SGM, United States Army Pacific Command, Ft. Shafter, HI and CSM, 524th Military Intelligence Battalion, 501st Military Intelligence Brigade, Korea.
CSM Carrion has served in multiple technical positions within the MI field as well as various positions of leadership including Team Leader, Section Sergeant, Platoon Sergeant, Drill Sergeant, First Sergeant, Staff SGM.
CSM Carrion’s awards and decorations include: the Combat Action Badge, Drill Sergeant Badge and the Parachutist Badge, the Army Superior Unit Award, Bronze Star (3), Meritorious Service Medal (5), Army Commendation Medal (4), Army Achievement Medal, Army Good Conduct Medal (8), Nation Defense and the Army Service Medal. CSM Carrion is also a member of the honorable order of the Saint Barbara’s award and a Knowlton award recipient.
CSM Carrion is a graduate of every intermediate and advance level of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Liberal Arts.
