Dormitory

Located on west Fort Hood

Currently airmen live in the dorms that are about 10 miles away from the 712 ASOS building on west Fort Hood.  The dormitories are 3 story buildings maintained by the army.  When you first enter the room you will be in the center gallery which contains the kitchen, and further down the small hall is the bathroom. In the kitchen on both sides there are doors to separate bedrooms which airmen reside in.  Each building is in the shape of a U, with a courtyard in the center of the U.  In the court yard there are benches and grills for festivities.  There are laundry facilities on each floor near the CQ area.  In the CQ area there are a number of soda machines, a wide screen TV, a pool table, and some public phones.  About 100 feet away from the buildings are trash and recycle units. There is also a small BX, barber shop, bank (with ATM), pool, dry cleaning shop, dining facility and gym that are all within close walking distance of the dormitory area. Phone lines, full cable, and internet are not included in the dorms but you can have all of them ordered through a local service.  Dorms are fitted with basic cable channels.
