CSM Jon D. Matthews was born in San Francisco, CA and moved with his family all over the world while his father served in the Army, settling down in Las Vegas, NV.  In 1992 he enlisted in the Army as an Airborne Infantryman.  He was later re-classed as a Military Policeman.
