Ready & Resilient

The Ready and Resilient Campaign (R2C) integrates and synchronizes a vast array of Fort Hood's support agencies and programs to improve the readiness and resilience of the Fort Hood Family - Soldiers, Families, and Army Civilians. Ready and resilient creates a holistic, collaborative and coherent enterprise to increase individual and unit readiness and resilience; it builds physical, emotional and psychological resilience in our Soldiers, Families and Civilians and enables them to improve performance to deal with the rigors and the challenges of a demanding and stressful profession.

Fort Hood's Ready and Resilient Campaign will establish strong and effective leader development programs to facilitate enduring cultural change, systems, and processes that integrate resilience into how Units build, strengthen, maintain, and assess total fitness, individual performance, and unit readiness.

What is Ready - The ability to accomplish assigned tasks or missions through resilience, individual and collective team training, and leadership.

What is Resilient - The mental, physical, emotional, and behavioral ability to face and cope with adversity, adapt to change, recover, learn and grow from setbacks.

Specifically, Ready and Resilient will...

Integrate resilience training as a key part of Fort Hood's professional military education.

Synchronize and integrate key programs here at The Great Place to reduce or eliminate suicide and suicidal ideations; sexual harassment assault; bullying and hazing; substance abuse; domestic violence; and any stigma or barriers associated with seeking help.  Leader development and education are critical to this process and must be emphasized in order to achieve long-term cultural change in our Army.
