Dedication of the TSC to MSG Mike C. Peña

The new TSC facility, Building 22041, is dedicated in memory of the Congressional Medal of Honor recipient Master Sergeant Mike C. Peña, for his valiant actions on the evening of 4 September 1950 near Waegwan, Korea. MSG Peña was born in Texas and served at multiple installations throughout the state, including Camp Hood. He also served multiple tours with the 1st Cavalry Division, the unit to which he was assigned when he was killed in action in Korea. MSG Peña is the epitome of a leader who dedicated his life to training Soldiers. As a reflection to the mission and purpose the Training Support Center, it holds the honor of being named for such a Soldier.

The Fort Hood TSC Has Moved

The TSC has been relocated to their new building, Building 22041 Sabot Drive, off South Range Road across from Pilot Knob Range. This new 157,000+ square-foot building allows the consolidation of eight buildings that were spread across the Fort Hood main cantonment. The consolidation provides the ability to deliver a better customer service and training experience.

TSC New Building

The new facility houses the TSC's administration offices, training suites, Device Fabrication and a 107,000 square-foot warehouse.

The TSC Administration area is located in Room 113 and houses both government and contract personnel.

Customer Service is located in Room 102. Units can submit work orders for training aids from Loan and Storage and request that training aids be manufactured from Device Fabrication. Units will also create new accounts, settle LDDs, SOCs, and FLIPLs. Soldiers will also In/Out Process here.

Loan and Storage has thousands of training aids that units may check out and GTAs for unit distribution.

The training suites consists of four 15 lane and one 10 lane Engagement Skills Trainer (EST) room. Two multi-purpose rooms are also available for other training aids to be set up. The EST is scheduled using RFMSS.
