Career Status Bonus / REDUX
Fort Hood Retirement Services Office monthly CSB / REDUX briefings are conducted the second and fourth Wednesday of each month in the Copeland Soldiers Service Center, Building 18010, Room B-112.  Briefings start at 1300 hours.

If eligible for a Career Status Bonus (CSB) of $30,000, you will have the choice of remaining subject to the provisions of the High-3 Retirement System or electing a $30,000 CSB and being subject to retirement under REDUX.  To be eligible, members must:

  • Be on active duty
  • Complete 15 years of active duty service
  • Have a DIEMS/DIEUS (Date of Initial Entry to Military / Uniformed Service) that is 1 August, 1986 or later.
  • Qualify under Service regulations for retention to 20 years of active duty service

To attend the monthly briefing, you must have 14 1/2 to 15 years of active federal service.
