| MISSION: The Inspector General (IG) serves as an extension of the Commanding General's eyes, ears, voice, and conscience. The Division West (First Army) IG provides assistance, conducts inspections, conducts investigations/inquiries, and teaches and trains in order to enhance mission readiness and improve the effectiveness, efficiency, discipline, and morale of the Division West (First Army) Command, subordinate Brigades, Training Support Battalions (TSBns), and any Reserve Component (RC) unit or Soldier undergoing Mobilization, Deployment, Redeployment, and Demobilization operations under the Training, Readiness, and Mobilization oversight of the Commanding General, Division West (First Army). Provide area based coverage, providing support to any Soldier, family member, DOD/DA civilian, military retiree, or “regular” civilian who has an issue with the Army or is in need of assistance. Division West (First Army) IG will be responsible for IG assistance, investigations and inquiries pertaining to AC or RC Soldiers assigned, attached, or OPCON to First Army Division West Brigades or the TSBns. Additionally, Division West (First Army) IG will conduct inspections of appropriate matters within the Division West (First Army) area of operation, to include subordinate commands [Division West (First Army) Brigades and TSBns], as directed by the Division West (First Army) Commanding General.
