CSM Ronald E. Orosz enlisted in the United States Army in March 1985 and attended Basic Training and One Station Unit Training at Fort Benning, GA and graduated as a Military Occupational Speciality Infantryman (MOS 11B) CSM Orosz served in every duty position from M60 Machinegun Ammo Bearer to Command Sergeant Major (CSM). He served in 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment, 5th Battalion, Ranger Training Brigade; Headquarters and Headquarters Company (HHC), 75th Ranger Regiment, 3d Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment; CSM for 2-6th Infantry Battalion (Mechanized), 2d Brigade, 1st Armored Division; CSM for 3d Brigade Combat Team (Light), 1st Infantry Division, and the CSM for the 20thth Support Command (CBRNE). |

His overseas service includes Operation Just Cause (Squad Leader), Operation Enduring Freedom (Regimental Operations NCO and First Sergeant), Operation Iraqi Freedom (First Sergeant), Operation Iraqi Freedom 05-07 (CSM), and Operation Enduring Freedom VIII (CSM). His military schools include Airborne School, Ranger School, Static Line Jumpmaster, Military Freefall Course, Military Freefall Jumpmaster Course, Pathfinder Course, and all phases of the Noncommissioned Officer Education System. Some of his awards and decorations include the Legion of Merit, the Bronze Star Medal w/V Device, the Bronze Star Medal (three oak leave clusters), the Meritorious Service Medal (2 oak leave clusters), the Army Commendation Medal (seven oak leave clusters), the Army Achievement Medal (three oak leaf clusters), Good Conduct Medal (12 knots), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal w/Bronze Arrowhead, Joint Meritorious Unit Award, Valorous Unit Award, Army Superior Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Commendation, Expert Infantryman’s Badge, Combat Infantryman’s Badge (2d award), and the Master Parachutist Badge w/Bronze Star. He’s a lifetime member of the following organizations: the Society of the 1st Infantry Division, 75th Ranger Regiment Association, National Infantry Association, and the Association of the United States Army | |
