OFFICE OF THE DIRECTOR
Mr. Brian L. Dosa began his civilian career in July 2010 as
the Fort Hood Director of Public Works. Mr. Dosa also
served as a member of the active duty Army, with his
military career spanning 25 years, from May 1985 until
July 2010. His last active duty assignment was as the
Director, Maneuver Support and Sustainment Test
Directorate, US Operational Test Command, Fort Hood, TX.
Colonel Brian Dosa graduated from the US Military
Academy in 1985 and was commissioned in the Corps of
Engineers. His military education includes the Engineer
Officer Basic and Advanced Courses, the Command and
General Staff College, the Joint and Combined Staff
Officer School, and the US Army War College. He holds
Bachelor’s and Master’s Degrees in Civil Engineering and
is a registered professional engineer in Delaware and
Colonel Dosa's first assignment was in the 92nd Engineer
Battalion, Ft. Stewart, Georgia where he served as a
Platoon Leader, Company Executive Officer and Battalion
Adjutant. Following the Engineer Officer Advanced
Course, he was assigned to Ft. Hood, Texas and the 1st
Cavalry Division, there he served in the 8th Engineer
Battalion as the Deputy ADE, Battalion S4 and B Company
Commander. He commanded B Company during Operations
Desert Shield and Desert Storm.
After earning a Master's degree in Civil Engineering
from Cornell University, he was assigned to West Point
as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Civil and
Colonel Dosa was then assigned to Ft. Riley, KS where he
served as Plans Officer for the 166th Aviation Brigade.
He served as the 937th Engineer Group S3 and the
Battalion Executive Officer for the 70th Engineer
Battalion, 1st Armored Division.
Colonel Dosa's next assignment was in Izmir, Turkey,
where he worked as the Chief of Exercises and Training,
Joint Command Southeast. During Operation Iraqi Freedom,
he led the deployment of a Land Component Command
forward HQ to Southeastern Turkey - a first ever NATO
Article IV operation.
Colonel Dosa commanded the 8th Engineer Battalion, 1st
Cavalry Division, leading the unit in their deployment
to Baghdad for Operation Iraqi Freedom II. During the
year-long mission, the Battalion's primary mission was
reconstruction of Baghdad's infrastructure.
Colonel Dosa next served as the 1st Cavalry Division G7,
responsible for the transformation of the Division to a
new modular organization and the activation of the new
HBCT at Ft. Bliss, TX.
Colonel Dosa's awards and decorations include the
Legion of Merit, Bronze Star (with V-device and oak leaf
cluster), Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Meritorious
Service Medal, Joint Service Commendation Medal, Army
Commendation Medal, and Army Achievement Medal.
