Wastewater

Wastewater occurs when water is used. Common types of wastewater include domestic sewage, water from vehicle washing, water from oil-water separators (OWSs), and waste products from ROWPUs.

Fort Hood has three permits to manage wastewater from vehicle washing and OWSs. As a result, care must be taken when using OWSs. Therefore only approved cleaners are allowed at vehicle wash racks, and OWSs need to be inspected weekly. Also, OWSs need to be cleaned out regularly. See FH 200-1 for more information.

For information about other wastewater issues, see FH 200-1 or contact the Water Program at 287-6499.
