The Deposit Waiver Program was established to ease the financial burden of relocating to or within the Fort Hood area. Over 200 landlords allow newly arriving Soldiers/airmen assigned to Fort Hood to lease property without a security deposit. In addition, there are 16 utility companies within a 35 mile radius of Fort Hood who accept deposit waivers in lieu of security deposits.
