The College-Level Examination Program (CLEP) is a series of computerized
examinations in 34 introductory college subjects that allow individuals to earn
college credit for what they already know about the subject regardless of how that knowledge is acquired. CLEP exams are 90 minutes long and are administered on computer. Test examinee receives instant score reports following completion of the exam with the exception of English Composition with Essay. The exams are made up primarily of multiple-choice questions; however, some exams do have fill-ins. Each description now includes specific information on knowledge and skills required and study resources. Study Resources are available to all Military Service Members through their Education Service Center. Civilians, for a fee, can download a CLEP Official Study Guide, by going to www.collegeboard.com. |
