Fort Hood TV continues to make strides toward the future as this week in Fort Hood On Track we highlight the Phantom Warrior television studio’s inaugural live satellite interview with KCEN-TV, the NBC affiliate station in Waco. Brig. Gen. Mark McDonald, the III Corps deputy commanding general, conducted the first-ever live shot from the new studio located in the west wing of the headquarters building.

On Track reporters also take you to the Killeen/Heights Rotary Club where Brig. Gen. McDonald explained the installation’s “Vision 2011” campaign plan to area civic leaders and the 4th Infantry Division’s Rear Detachment laid out its plan to make every returning “Ivy Division” Soldier feel “like a rock star” when they come home.
The 13th Sustainment Command (Expeditionary) welcomes home the 43rd Veterinary Support Detachment in this week’s edition and coverage is provided on two departing 1st Cavalry Division units. Fort Hood On Track, hosted this week by the 7th Mobile Public Affairs Detachment’s Sgt. 1st Class Debbie Thompson, also takes you to Baghdad with a weekly look at the 4th Infantry Division’s “Iron Horse Report.”
On Tuesday night, Fort Hood TV broadcast the 4th Inf. Div.’s Town Hall via satellite from Baghdad, but if you missed it there are plenty of re-airings throughout the week. Coverage of the Martin Luther King, Jr. Day ceremony held here Friday is also running daily, as well as the “Hood Hero Awards” which is being taped today.
